Jesus in algorithm.

I am not a religious person. I do believe that Jesus existed. He saw patterns and relationships beyond those of others.

I believe that Jesus inspired love and devotion. He also knew that his choices would get him killed.

When asked to share more about the god he claimed to represent, Jesus would reply that god is both love and social algorithm: do unto others as you would have them do unto you. A formula that, when used, could lead to tremendous prosperity and network effects. It still can.

Unfortunately, jealous men decided to lay claim to this god of love and incorporate it.

Given what we now understand about our species, is it wise of us to remain in thrall to a group of people claiming to play Telephone with the divine?

Control scars lives. It rends the social fabric leaving us with nothing but strands and tatters.

While Love is divine, Control is an algorithm of our own dark invention. I imagine we use it because we fear love. It’s taken me forty years to break free of that fear. And I wish I could have met Jesus.
